There was a reason as to why Mecardo had been given a laptop. Apparently. It was his fourteen birthday, for his school work. Apparently. Up until then he had been taking use of Harrington Wright's computers. Slow. Dusty.
After recieving it, Mecardo had embraced the laptop in his love and used it. And used it. Until he stopped. Until he had no need, no passion for it. And finally, after quite some time, he pulled it out of its dusty jacket. The laptop was blue in colour and still somewhat fast due to its lack of use over the years.
Mecardo let it work up, watching through curious blue eyes as a screen flashed open. The school chatroom. He had forgotten that he was registered to that. That it was an automatic sign in and usually a boring conversation followed. He'd risk it.

Someone else logged in. Jarren was curious, and his curiosity was quenched as the person who logged on, Mecardo was his name, spoke to him. He wondered who that was. He was still new, so he didn't recognise the name but he was sure to meet him someda. It's not like he'd never see someone who goes to his school ever. He replied quickly. He had taken three different Keyboarding classes due to him moving all the time.
lost_within_myself Hi. I'm Jarren. I don't think I know you.

Jarren's words caused him to think a little. Who really did know him? He thought everyone did, but maybe that was just standard paranoia. Maybe he was like a nobody, who passed people but no one cared, no one took notice... maybe that was the case... Mecardo sighed. It couldn't've been the case though. Not with what he got up to... everyone had to know him... right?
ShootnNod: Well that's good, because it means any rumours or preconceptions don't need to be fixed. Like for example, I don't have to deal with idiotic questions asking what I did involving a sheep and... a needle or something. I did nothing, that's not a rumour. I mean I've fed a sheep before and I've had needles, but I've never really mixed a sheep and a needle together before... But you know rumours, something totally unplausable could be said in the words of gossip and it turns into the most plausable thing in the world.
ShootnNod: Nice to meet you. Jarren's an odd name. Though I can't talk. I've had my name for so long that I think it's normal, I sometimes forget. Everyone screws up its spelling, it's depressing. But Jarren seems easy enough to remember how to spell, at least if you remember it's double R... hmm. I'll remember.

Jarren watched as two replies came back at him. After he read the first few lines he stopped. a sheep...? he thought as he continued reading. He thought for a moment how a sheep and a needle were connected. Well, thread can be made from wool, which comes from a sheep, but how does that connect to Mecardo? Did he try to shear the sheep for thread? No, that's a stupid thought. Hmmm... Jarren thought for a long moment before replying.
lost_within_myself: Well, normally I wouldn't pursue the 'sheep' comment, but I gotta ask- What about a sheep and a needle?
Jarren finished tapping on the keys and read the second reply. . He smirked as the boy pointed out how odd Jarren was as a name. he mentally noted the bitter-sweet point the boy made. He wondered where the boy got off at, how he just acts so down about himself and jumps at discussing why Jarren was an odd name.
lost_within_myself: Good point. Your name is quite peculiar, but I guess we were both blessed with unique names. Hmmm... Time to pursue this discussion further... If you could change your name, would you? And if so, to what?
Jarren became curious quickly and with Mecardo, that came easily.
